WICO's Int. Women's Day March 8, 2010
Dear sisters throughout the world,
As we approach International Women’s Day, on March 8th of this year, it is critical that we stand united, throughout the world in
solidarity with our sisters in Iran who are fighting for freedom, and basic human rights.
As the executions of dissidents are becoming more frequent, and the repression more brutal, we must let the Iranian leaders know that we are watching and that we will not remain silent.
It is our responsibility as women to bring light into the world, and to show the nations of the world that we have a common voice.
We will not tolerate the abuse of women anywhere regardless of their race, religion or creed, and the attempts to force them into submissive silence.
The chapters of WICO worldwide are beginning to mobilize support of the worldwide community of women to stop this insanity.
The world is becoming a much smaller global community and the Iranian government cannot act with impunity.
Together we can make a difference.
